This was no doubt one of the greatest questions
asked of a group of believers in the New

some who believed in Jesus, but had not yet
heard of the gift of the Holy Ghost.  The good
news is that the gift of the Holy Spirit is still
promised today to all who believe.  As the
Apostle Peter put it (Acts 2:39), "For the
promise is unto you, and to your children, and to
all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord
our God shall call."

NOTES FOR BUILDING A CHURCH:

Bringing them in...one soul at a time.

You can't grow watermelons over night.

Two is better than one; and a threefold cord
is not quickly broken.

You can't save the world.  But you CAN
save them, one soul at a time.

Jesus said, "Where two or three are
gathered together in my name, there am I in
the midst."

"He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing
precious seed, shall doubtless come again
with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him."
Do you know who Jesus Christ really is?  Christ IS Love.  And not just any love, but a love that is so
powerful, it is strong enough to help and forgive everyone IN SPITE of their flaws and failures.
Jesus Christ wants to put His love in our hearts, that we also might love one another.

Words of Jesus: "He that loveth his neighbor as himself hath fulfilled the whole law of Christ."
"Do unto others as ye would have them do unto you."
"Whatsoever ye do unto the least of these brethren, ye do it as unto me."
"Neither do I condemn thee...I did not come to condemn the world, but that the world thru me might be saved."

REVELATIONS AND PROPHECY
One of the wonderful things about living in the new testament age is the direct connection that each of us, as a member of the body of Christ, can have
with the King of kings and Lord of lords.  For in these last days, God has poured out His Spirit upon ALL flesh, and all of His sons and daughters
prophesy.  This did not happen in the old testament age to all of God's people.  Only certain persons, especially those such as of the tribe of Levi, were
prophets, and experienced the move of the Spirit upon them, writing and speaking as the Holy Spirit gave them the utterance.

God speaks to us by revelation, and moves upon us to speak His word (prophecy), impressing upon our hearts and lips his ways and thoughts, if we
pray and walk humbly and obedient before Him, seek His face, and be led of His Spirit.

It is my humble desire to share with you some of the revelations and prophecies God has given me below, and add more as I receive them from above.
For it is written, "every one of you hath a revelation" and "ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted."  May God
bless you always with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

What is "the image" of God?
What is the image of God?  Is it an image referring to a body with hands and feet, arms and legs, head and torso?  No, for God is a Spirit that fills the
universe.  So when the scriptures speak of the "image" of God, it is referring to those things that God is in personality, his ways and thoughts, his
attitudes and judgment, everything that makes up who He is.  His "image" is a reflection of who He is.  And we know that He is righteous and holy,
clean and upright, sinless and pure, loving and fair.

God created mankind in His own image.  This does not mean that we have the same kind of natural body that God has, or even look like He does in
the natural.  For God is not in the natural; He is a spirit.  When Genesis states that God created man in His own image and likeness, this means that
God created man without the nature to sin.  He created man with a mind and heart that was pure and clean and not selfish, or rebellious, or adulterous,
or murderous, or hateful, or mean, or any other nature of the flesh that is contrary to the likeness of God.  And He gave this pure mind, which He gave
to the man, the power and charge to control his own flesh without any difficulty whatsoever.  He created man without sin and without the desire to sin,
just as persons in heaven are.  Man could not be tempted because he did not have a heart and mind to do wrong.

But the man was still created with weakness, subject and inferior to God, and depended on God, his Creator, for everything.  Man was weak, God
was strong.  God wanted to establish this relationship with man, one in which God would be his provider, and man would need God to live.  Yet man
was set apart from the rest of the animal world, and given dominion over all the animals and creatures of the earth.  God expected man to live a life that
was higher, more intelligent, and respectful than the animals.  Animals have it bred into their nature to strive, fight, kill, and steal.  They often have no
conscience of right from wrong, and much less intelligence than man.  But God wanted man to live and walk as Himself, with uprightness and dignity.

The woman was taken from the man, and created in the image and likeness of man.  Thus, she was created in the image that represented weakness.  In
her weakness, she fell by transgression.  And through her giving into temptation, she caused Adam to sin also.  And through Adam, the sinful nature of
the flesh came upon all mankind.  Now we wrestle with a flesh that has animalistic natures (called sin) within.  Though we want to live uprightly, we
often find ourselves wrestling against principalities and powers and rulers of darkness, the motions of sin in our flesh trying to take over the mind of
Christ within us.  (Read Romans 7)

Jesus Christ came to earth, bled and died, and rose again, to give us back what Satan took away from us in the garden of Eden, and that we might
have the right to the tree of life and live forever.  And now, through the victory we have in Jesus Christ, we can be renewed in knowledge, re-created in
the image and likeness of God, crucifying the old sinful nature, and rising to walk in the newness of life.  He has given the power to keep our hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.  Now we can live a respectful, honourable life free from shame, guilt, or the destructive forces of sin.  We can live in dignity
and honour, in the image and likeness of our holy God, once again.  Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable, indescribable gift!

How did nakedness become sin?
If God created man in His own image and likeness, why could man be naked and still be sin-free before eating the forbidden fruit?  Because nakedness
of the flesh became the symbol of sin, and did not become this sign and symbol until Eve's disobedient act of rebellion against God.  Nakedness in itself
was not sinful per se, and was not created as a sin.  God did not create Adam and Eve in a sinful state, and nakedness was not shameful or sinful until
after they transgressed.  But by the plan of God, it became a symbol representing sin.  Sin is shameful; shame is sin.  God placed a feeling of shame
upon Adam and Eve for being naked the moment they disobeyed God.  Before then, being naked was not sin and they felt no shame for being naked.
Nakedness became a symbol of the shame of sin that came upon the flesh of mankind as a result of their disobedience.

The Death Penalty of the Old Testament Law of Moses
I have seen a lot of rhetoric today that attempts to denounce or criticize the Bible for the death penalties that were placed upon certain sins in the law of
Moses.  There is even a movement today to label the Bible itself as a hate crime instigator, and as a book that teaches extreme hatred and intolerance
for sinners, especially such as homosexuals.  Sadly, this is due to ignorance and a lack of understanding of God's Word.

The first thing we must believe and recognize is that God is indeed God, which makes Him the ultimate judge and ruler and creator of the universe.
And since it is His universe, and we are His creation, and He is an all-powerful all-mighty God, He has the authority and right to not only make rules
and laws that He expects us to obey, but also to stipulate the worthy punishments for the crimes.  That is what judges and lawgivers do.  And so God
has laid out a law that the children of Israel in the Old testament time period were given, showing the just punishments for certain crimes and sins.  And
yes, the worthy punishment for many sins is indeed death.

However, that is what Jesus Christ came to earth for.  He bore our sorrows, and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him.  We were all worthy to
die by the laws of God.  But God sent His Son into the world because He loved the world, and He did not want us to die.  He took that punishment
for us because of His great love toward us.  For while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Now we are no longer under the merciless law of
Moses.  We are under the abundant grace of Christ, which preaches repentance and forgiveness of sins through His blood.  So anyone who tries to
make it look like the Christians are haters of sinners, and want them put to death, are in a total misunderstanding of true Christ-ianity.  The message of
Christ is one of hope, salvation, and love to all sinners, including homosexuals or any other sinner.  Christ frees us from the sins and the punishments of
the law, because He is a merciful and gracious Judge of the new testament, which He put in force by His own blood.  He gave His life that we might
live.  Yes, we were worthy to die.  We should have been crucified.  But greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Believing in Noah's Ark
This story is a great test of our faith.  From a carnal-minded view, it could have never happened.  It would not be possible.  If we expect the events of
Noah's ark to have occurred completely through natural explanations, of course we will walk away shaking our head.  Because naturally, all the kinds
of creatures of the world could never have migrated that far, many would never have survived outside their natural habitat, and many of them were
predators that would have normally ate half the other animals perhaps!  Among other things.  But Noah, who knew that what God told him to do was
not naturally possible, believed God anyway and spent a lot of labour and time preparing the ark.  And God honored his faith and saved him and his
household.

But let us take a step back and think about this for a second.  The whole Bible, from beginning to end, is based on faith.  Faith in a God that is
unlimited in power and authority.  Faith in a God that created the universe and all things therein.  If we really believe in this God that has all power, and
can do the impossible, and defy all of nature's forces to heal cancers, raise the dead, walk on water, and part the Red Sea, then the story of Noah
begins to get easier and easier to believe.  The fact is, some people believe and some don't.  And it will always be this way.  Either you believe in this
God that can do anything, or you don't.

Do you believe that God can make a donkey talk?  Do you believe that God can stop the mouths of lions?  Do you believe that God can feed five
thousand with a few loaves and fishes?  Do you believe that God can catch persons away in the spirit like he did Elijah and Philip, the evangelist?  Do
you believe that God took Elijah away in a chariot?  Do you believe that Enoch was translated, and that Jesus himself was caught away up into
heaven?  Do you believe that God can heal all manner of sickness and disease?  Do you believe the Bible?  The fact is, if you believe all of this, then it
becomes easy to believe the story of Noah.  God took care of it all.  He told Noah what His plan was, and He made it work.  Just like He took a rib
out of Adam's side and made a woman, or did anything else He wanted to do.  So it is not hard to see that God could have translocated every animal
he needed to get to the ark, tamed them all (or stopped their mouths), made sure they survived with plenty of nourishment, maintained their health,
made a huge heavy ark float on water, and carried out His plan just like He wanted it.  The point was, Noah obeyed God, and put forth the effort.
Where Noah failed, God stepped in.  Just like he told Abraham to sojourn in a strange land, and promised him an inheritance that seemed
unimaginable.  Just like God told Abraham and Sarah that they would conceive a child in their old age.  Just like God told Moses to go tell Phar
aoh to
let my people go, and Joshua to lead the children of Israel into a land occupied by giants and fenced cities
and drive the inhabitants out.  Just like God
gave faith to David to defeat the experienced fighter Goliath.
Just like God told Mary that she would conceive a child by the Holy Ghost without
knowing a man.
And I could go on and on.  That's the kind of faith God expects all of us to have in Him.  Believe that what He has promised, He is
also able to perform.
And herein is a great lesson.  The lesson of believing God and living by faith.  Many nonbelievers do not understand this concept,
and so they naturally question the story of Noah and a lot of other faith-based events of the Bible.
